Big Hero 6가 2015 년 아카데미 시상식에서 최고의 애니메이션 영화 부문을 수상했다.
마블 만화에서 영감을 받은 디즈니 영화로, 히로역엔 라이언 포터 ,십대에 의해 만들어진Baymax라 불리는 로봇과 다른 다섯명의 드로이드 팀의 협조로 악당 로봇공학 교수에 맞선다. 산 Fransokyo라는 환상의 미래 도시로 배경이 설정되어 있는이 영화는, '위니 더 푸우(Winnie the Pooh)'의 감독 돈 홀과 볼트(Bolt)의 감독 크리스 윌리엄스의 공동 작업이었다.
지난해 오스카 수상작 Let it Go 노래와 함께 얼음 꿈의 세계에서 멀어진 자매의 화해로 큰 인기를 끈 스토리의 얼음왕국(Frozen)에 이어,애니메이션 부문에서 디즈니의 두 번째 수상작이 되었다.
아카데미 시상식은 로스앤젤레스 돌비 극장에서 열렸고 닐 패트릭 해리스에 의해 발표되었다.
Big Hero 6 has won the best animated film category at the 2015 Oscars.
The Disney film, inspired by a Marvel comic, stars Ryan Potter as Hiro, a teenager who builds a robot called Baymax and enlists of a team of five other droids to take on a rogue robotics professor. The film, which is set in the fantasy future city of San Fransokyo, was the collaboration between Winnie the Pooh director Don Hall and Chris Williams, director of Bolt.
The win marks the second victory in a row for Disney in the animation category. Frozen, the hugely popular story of estranged sisters’ reconciliation in an icy dream world, won the Oscar last year, along with best song for Let it Go.
The Academy Awards are taking place at the Dolby theatre in Los Angeles and are being hosted by Gone Girl star Neil Patrick Harris.
